Codes code P0299 and P0087 are they connected

I recently had a thermostat and sensor changed. They drained the antifreeze and re-added when finished. days later I have a code P0299 and P0087 come up when the check engine light came on.
Is it possible that something with the engine coolant flow could cause the turbo code to pop also?

Good evening,

The 299 is an air intake system issue. I would check all connections at the air filter clear through to the turbo. Make sure there is no holes in any of the hoses.

Also, check the lines from the turbo to the charge air cooler in front of the radiator.

Can you verify the other code? P0087 is not a code for this car.

Okay, this code is directly related to the work performed. It look like the thermostat.

I would return the car to the shop and have them review the code and fix the issue. If you did not have this code prior to the repair, you should not have it now.
