can you give an idea what the problem might be and an approx cost pls for fix

We need a whole lot more information than that. Could be a locked-up air conditioning compressor and a slipping belt, shorted wiper motor and burning wiring, wiring harness fell down onto hot exhaust parts, engine overheating, cylinder head gasket leaking and blowing combustion gases into the coolant reservoir, shorted radiator fan motor, major engine oil leak with oil running onto hot exhaust parts, etc.
