A few months ago noticed back locks were making a clicking sound - but not affecting locking of door. Goes on while driving - more so when braking or going over a bump. Then the driver side window opener wouldn't always work to open the window. Now the remote door opener does not work intermittently. Sometimes the doors lock but are found unlocked later. Sometimes when I go to lock the vehicle, the lights flash but the doors don't lock. Now the remote works most times, but not always.

Two mechanics have looked at the problems and so has Toyota dealership - none can find the fault. They cheched the wires in the back door - cleaned them and found no fault. They checked the switches in the driver door and again could find no fault.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

It's the module that controls the door locks and windows. It's usually called a body control module. You might be able to retrieve some codes if you have it scanned for body (soft) codes.
