My daughters 1999 Saab 9-3 Turbo just recently started to produce a noticeable vibration or tremor felt in the steering wheel during acceleration. Especially noticeable when traveling at highway speeds and while utilizing cruise control. Less of a tremor when decelerating or going at slower speeds. With this car having front wheel drive and problem more noticeable during acceleration, could the source of the vibration be in the drive train? U-joint? Tie rods? Wheel bearings? Thanks for your thoughts.

Force balancing is a good idea but you may have trouble finding many shops that have that capability.
