My Rover K-Series engine had a bad Head-Gasket failure ... Water in Sump and Reservoir empty.
The Gasket has been replaced and, after 500miles, performance is excellent with no trace of emulsion in the Head.
Traces of oil are in the water however and this is perhaps inevitable...I would be pleased to learn of any way of removing them. Presumably it would be by OVERFILLING the Reservoir and allowing the excess to carry out the oil...Merely DRAINING the water would take the oil back through the waterways leaving them to contaminate any refill.
Could any additive be used to aid the cleansing process ?
