turns over won't stay running , while running she will. back fires. replaced knock sensor. timming chain. removed exhust. replaced fuel filter and injecter. while running she runs rough but will not run for more than a couple of mintues. sounds like she cannot let go of air.

What's been done to this up until now?

I assume the check engine light is on. What are the code numbers.

How did this problem start?

When were any ignition components changed last?

The check engine light came on when the van died the code said random miss fire. the van was find till she just shut down and didn't want to run , there are no other codes, after the battery had to be charged there are no other codes or engine light on. she never backedfired before. ignition components have never been changed by me. The timming chain has been replaced, the knock sensor also has been replaced. took the exhust pipe off to see if that would help nothing changed

You could have an issue with the Ignition Control module, Crank sensor or one or more coils. This will probably require the use of a lab scope and some in depth component testing.
