I need to know how to replace my head gaskets , does it require me to take my cylinder head out or not?

About once a month i have to put a gallon of 50/50 mixture of coolant in my radiator , there are no leaks on the ground and i believe its being combusted but yet there no white smoke coming out of my tailpipes except for when i turn it on in the morning for the first minute or two.

It doesn't matter the headgasket has to be replaced if its leaking there-could also be a cracked head or block-
