1999 Pontiac Grand Prix Brake Rotor

You have two choices, a bigger hammer or heat.

I finally got it off I had to use a bigger hammer, I got the wheel stud changed and its fully seated in it's spot. Now one thing I noticed was that once it was all put back together the e-brake didn't work as well as it did before. I had to move the brake itself to get the old stud out and put the new one in. And I did put it all back together so what could be causing it not to grip the inside of the rotor that well.

Glad you got it off. They can be a pain! As far as the parking brake, did you properly adjust them when you reinstalled everything?

I don't believe I did, how do you properly adjust the parking brake.

They are basically a small version of a drum brake design. There will be a self adjuster for them. Take a look at this page:

I did exactly as it said and I cant get the adjustment just right to work properly. Do I have to have both rear wheels off the ground is that why its not working, at the time I only had the rear driver side lifted to get that wheel stud out.

Is the adjuster frozen and not able to move?

I don't believe its frozen. In the link you gave me the adjuster in the picture on step 17 is the same one that is on my car. Both ends on the adjuster turn but only the right side of it can move in and out almost like pushing a button, is that how its is supposed to be? Also is the left side of the adjuster supposed to be all the way closed like in the picture is that what I what doing wrong or what?

On most adjusters, there is only one side that is adjustable. When you adjust your brakes, does the adjuster not provide enough adjustment?

I finally got it, had to make a lot of small adjustments. Since we are in this area of the car I have another problem, when I drive the rear driver side suspension rattles even when I hit the smallest bump. Just wondering what would cause this, and its only that side of the suspension that does it.

Have you checked bushings? Have you checked to make sure the strut isn't blown or if the strut mount (top) and the bottom bushings are tight and in good condition? One last thing. I had a 2000 Lumina in the shop about a week ago with rattle in the left rear. Everything looked tight. What I found was the actual coil spring (part of the strut assembly) was cracked where it mounted to the bottom strut plate. So check to make sure that isn't an issue. I had to look closely and do some cleaning to see it.
