how do I know if the fuel filter or pump is bad?

When starting the van the engine runs ruff, it will not go over 5mph, and boggs out. You can put the gas petal to the floor and it still wont get over 5mph and boggs out and stalls.

You need to check fuel pump pressure at the fuel rail to see if it is within spec. For directions, see our homepage under the DIY section. There are directions and a video to help. Let me know if you have questions.
