I have a used Plymouth Neon (1999). I've had it for a few weeks. Everything has been working great until today. I drove it in the rain for the first time and it seemed like every couple turns, I had to turn the wheel really hard. I'm a woman and I don't know much about cars, but is it likely a case of a wet and slipping serpentine belt? Is there a way to fix it or should it just be replaced? Or is it something else? It's never happened to me before, but I'd never driven it in the rain before, so I'm assuming it has something to do with that.

yes, it could be the belt tension. have it checked along with the fluid to verify the issue.
