my check engine light wont go off, i replaced a blown head because the code reader said that was the problem besides the tale tale signs, my car was overheating and actually boiling. even after the new head was installed the cars check engine lightr still wont go off and we even erased the code. the car also seems to be cutting out and feels like it wants to stall, could one of the sensors be causing this problem? such as the crank sensor or the cam sensor and which and where are they located on the cars engine.

The code reader doesn't tell you what the problem is. It merely gives you information that it has monitored. The technician needs to analyze that info to determine the cause.
At this point you want to record all the code numbers and then clear them. When it comes back on, see which code numbers have reset.
