I need to know if a wiring harness from a 1997 Plymouth breeze with a 2.0 L engine fit and work on a 1999 Plymouth breeze with a 2.0 L engine ( I have been told that the engines are different even though they are both 2.0 L engines )

I was told that the engine was different, as I don't know for sure that is why I was asking a pro ( the mechanic that the info came from can not be trusted, as he also quoted 1200.00 for a ecm that can be bought for 200.00 new, and it was he that messed up the wiring harness in the first place but refuses to fix it at his cost , it seems that when he worked on the car to fix a small item two larger items would pop up, that is why I will be doing the work myself(the car is my nieces ) so I guess if you could tell me if the engines are the same type or are really different some way ( 97 Plymouth breeze and a 99 breeze my niece has the 99 ) I could then get the right wiring harness to fit the breeze..........thank you for your quick response and any further help you can give me

the problem is that the 1999car has a 2.0L as well as a 2.4L whereas the 97 only has a 2.0L they are wired different as well even the 2.0L Changes are made due to emmisions mostly. Your bestbet is to go online and see if someone like American autowire I think It is makes a harness for your car or go the cheaper route and get one from a junkyard. As you are not replacing the ecm and only the harness I can't believe they would charge more than $100 for it. The 99 motor also has a few different sensors that eh 97 doesn'thave. I can understand your plight but todays cars aren t that easy to fix any longer.
