engine does not stay running

I have a 1999 Olds Intrique 3.5 motor. It will start and run until it get warmed up, then the idle goes up and down then stalls. Then its hard to start, but will start. I have replaced the crankshaft sensor, TPS, and the electrical part of ing. switch.

Try cleaning out the idle air control valve and EGR valve and see what hppens-

Have you checked and cleaned the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve? It's usually located on the top of the engine, passenger side. When clogged, it can cause these symptoms.

Ok. Using a multimeter, test the coil(s). Make sure the ground signal is getting to them properly once the engine heats up. Make sure they continuously receive voltage after the engine heats up.

Also check the camshaft position sensor, the crankshaft position sensor and the throttle position sensor. All while the engine is hot. Images attached to show locations.

I have done all the suggestions and nothing is helping. I just put my fuel pump tester on and it seems to be running a constant 35psi. When I start the car when it is cold it runs pretty good then when it warms up the idle start to go up and down then it goes way donw and stalls out Then it is hard to start.

Ok. With the engine hot, check for vacuum leaks. Check the fuel pressure relief valve and pressure return valve for proper operation. Check to make sure the plugs are each getting a good strong spark when the engine is hot. Check to see if the computer has stored any codes. Check the oxygen sensor for proper operation at operating temp.

Also check the outputs of the control module when the engine has been running for awhile. There could be a problem in the processor that only makes itself known once its warmed up.

You missed when I said the fuel pump presure is low and does not come up to the required psi and when it runs it does not increase correctly The psi comes up to only 35 with engine not running and then drops off fast

Monitor the voltage going to the fuel pump as the engine heats up. Also check the fuel pump relay.

I believe that your not understanding what I am telling you. When I turn the key on the presure only goes to 35 and no higher. Then when I start the car which is now real hard it stays at 35 and goes no higher like it is needed, only runs at high RPM If you let it idle it varies up and down then quits. I looked at your own stats and they say it is to run at 41 to 60. And when you start it it is to raise about 10 and it does not.

If the fuel pressure is insufficient, the problem is either insufficient voltage/current being supplied to the pump or a malfunctioning pump, or MAYBE a clogged fuel filter. A remote possibility is a fuel leak.

Well I am back working on this car 1999 Olds Intrique 3.5. I have tried everything that you have suggested-I have changed the Crank shaft sensor, TPS clean everything you said. I have even changed the fuel pump because of low presure. This is where everyhting went from bad to VERY BAD Before I changed the pump at least the car would start after a bit but would not stay running. Now after I changed the pump the new one won't run I took it back out and put the old pump back on and it won't run now. I have power to the gauge in the tank but the pump won't turn on. I need to know a couple of things, do you have a wiring picture for the loom that plugs in the pump and up to underneithe the trunk, so I can find the hot wire that makes the pump run. OR MAY BE DO YOU KNOW WHY I MIGHT NOT HAVE POWRR TO THE PUMP Remembering that the gauge part works.I have put a new fuse in and a new fuel pump reg relay in also

I can't find any schematics depicting the fuel pump connector. I found schematics for the engine performance components, though.

I need the collor of the wire that is hot to the pump at the unit that goes into the tank. You have been pretty good help so far but I am in great need of an answer

Try downloading the images and opening them locally. The wire colors are listed on them. I've looked for over an hour. That's what I was able to find.

Mercedez timing-5 degrees BTDC
Heater core:
Disconnect battery negative cable and drain radiator. Disconnect blower motor wiring. From
under heater assembly, depress tab on mode door and temperature control cables, pull flags
from receivers and remove self-adjusting clip from door crank arms.
1.
Remove glove box assembly. Disconnect heater hoses on engine side of firewall. Plug hoses
and heater core tubes. Remove hanger strap to heater assembly screw by reaching through
glove box opening. Remove 2 heater assembly attaching nuts from engine compartment.
2.
On Daytona, remove 2 screws attaching demister adapter to the top of heater assembly. On all
models, pull instrument panel outward just enough to allow heater assembly to slide out.
Remove heater assembly. See Fig. 6 . To install, reverse removal procedure.

Yes, according to my reference material, it's for the LeBaron front wheel drive.
