To work on your vehicle, you need a basic set of tools, wrenches and sockets, standard and metric. As far as the price of single wrench or socket, it is cheaper to buy in a set. I don't know the actual size. If I grab one wrench and it is just a little too small, I grab the next size up from the tool box. I don't know how anybody else does it, that is how I do it.
