my car will not start

my ignition was popd and steering wheel was stolen so we got a new steering wheel column but now my car wont start the battery is fine and the starter was fine b4 hand when i turn the key it turns on but makes no noise when i try to start it could it b a security thing or what?? its a 1999 oldsmobile delta eightyeight

Could be a security issue here- if not check the ignition switch. Hold the key in cranking position and check for power at the purple wire at the starter-nothing there were right back to the ignition switch/ignition switch cylinder lock-
