1999 Nissan Altima horn

1999 Altima's horn started continuously honking one night while parked and off. Would not stop until I removed relay. After researching, I feel its either the pad switch or the clockspring. The airbag light is NOT lite. I was told that if it was lite, that would point to the clockspring. I went ahead and purchased a used airbag and clockspring. ($65 total). Before I jump in, I wanted to get your expert opinion.

Depending on how the horn triggers with a ground or power it could be the horn itself even.Do you have a test light or multi meter?Without doing some testing I cant say what it is even if I was there with the car.

I have an electrical background. The horn is grounded to frame. Positive is definitely supplied by switch. Initially I replaced horn and relay.

You correct its a power trigger but the horn switch supplys ground to the horn relay to t4igger the relay to send power to the horn.So bad relay?Is there another rely in the fuse box thqt is the same you can match?Or the horn switch is shorting to ground all the time?Unless the air bag coil is shorted to ground its not the air bag coil.pin 1 on the relay terminal is ground trigger to the relay so if thats a constant ground that side of the circuit back up to the steering column is shorted to ground somewhere.
