no acceleration

my mitsubishi space wagon lost acceleration but still had power. There is no acceleration but speedo works. When it was towed home on the truck it lost some fluid. The steering wheel vibrated a little when it lost acceleration.

No it doesn't move. It is strange that the speedo needle moves when it is in gear but the car doesnt move. The speedo clock is also going round even in neutral.

Based on what you have described, the trans is still good, but something in the differential or an axle has come apart. Have that checked and let me know what you find.

Hi, had a mechanic come and look and the drive shaft has come out of the gearbox. I had my gearbox fixed only 2 months ago. Could this be why?

If the axle came out of the gear box, that is the problem. IF the gear box was fixed, it shouldn't have come out. I would contact the person who fixed it and have them repair their problem.
