Hi! I have a 99 Mercury Cougar 2.5L. I just bought this piece because my mechanic told me it's what I need.

I cannot seem to find the placement inside my car to put it. Do you have any idea as to where I could find the location? I don't want to have to have him come up because he will charge a pretty penny.

It's located on the fuel rail.

I'm not sure where the part is though. I found this piece in my car but it's not the same as the one I ordered it in the before picture. http://www.qualityresale.net/product/00-04-ford-focus-00-contour-mystique-00-02-mercury-cougar-20l-fuel-pressure-sensor-regulator

But they're not the same piece.

I don't want to order that one too and not know which one will fix the problem. I'd like to know where the part I ordered goes.

The part you sent a pic of is a fuel pressure sensor. Can you upload a pic of the old one from your car?

Your car only has a rail sensor if it was built after May 24, 1999. Anything prior to that doesn't use one.
