Flat Battery removed , unfortunately boot locked and can get back in, skeleton key not working , goes in but not turning ,probably as never used. So basically i need to get some electric power to the car just enough to be able to turn the ignition key and get the remote to unlock the boot. Someone advised me to use the cigar lighter socket; i.e. insert a 12VDC device into the socket to get some electrical power? as opposed to drawing power from the socket, though i dont know of any device or devices ? I can take a picture under the bonnet in the morning and show the various connections in there if that helps more ,regards, Brian.ps i will donate if i can get the boot open!, 100% guaranteed to my word.

hello, if you cannot get into the trunk than you have 2 options, and do not use the cigar lighter!!!
ok jack up the car and under the left side floor right where the engine and trans meet there is the big power cable to the battery, you can hook the battery charger up to it long enough to pop the trunk. or remove the drivers side carpet in the front and you will see the other end of the battery cable that comes through the floor, hope this helps. here is a picture it is not the best but it shows where the location is, thanks. Lou.
oh and also i refer to drivers side as left side if you are sitting inside the car, thanks,

Thanks for the advice , my car is at work parked up safe enough so after work tomorrow i will do as you said. It is a right hand drive so i guess i will be looking underneath right side. As the battery is charged up just sitting in the back seat, if i use the crocodile leads red to the battery point terminal as indicated where shall i ground the negative lead? thanks again, Brian.
