replaced intake manifold and now it starts but stalls when foot taken off excellerator

The intake manifold on my 99 lincoln town car the original one has a part no. On that reads it belonging . To a 2001 Ford mustang. So we went to parts house asked for the Same part no. Was given the same manifold for a mustang . Is it compatible with my car? it starts but stalls out what could make it do thst?

Did it work before you removed it from your car? If it came off your car, I'd say it works. You probably have the idle adjusted incorrectly. This is normal after the intake is removed and replaced.
