While driving my car, the engine will all of a sudden slow down even when I have my foot on the gas. RPM's will remain constant. The check engine light is on and sometimes starts flashing.

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis,finding out what's going on.

Experienced a similar issue...bought the car with 78000 miles. My car suddenly slows down with feet on pedal. Check engine light is on. The enngine remmains on. To get home, I switch off engine and turn it back on, and everythin appears normal. Had this experience 5 times this week. Pls anybody with a similar experience and solution. Hhamalar, how did you solve this problem
