why does my jeep***** like its starving for fuel when shifting gears? Runs great in 1st and 2nd and idles fine. Recently replaced head and gasket then check engine light came on,pulled codes and replaced tps as was suggested but light is still on after clearing codes with same code tps voltage too high. Did not have this problem before replacing heaad and gasket. Any suggestions?

first of all, a code does not necessarily identify a bad part just a failed system. you need to check the voltage at idle on the tps. it should be .5 to .75 volts. adjust as necessary.
as far as the low power, you need to start from scratch with a compression test, timing, fuel pressure and check the cat for restriction.one or more than one could be the issue but all needs to be checked and verified.

Check to see if there are any pinched and/or melted wires. Are there any codes other than the TPS? Are all grounds connected?
