All power gone think battery may be flat. Unable to open boot to check. Anyone know how to get into boot please? Workshop manual also in boot.

I think this was answered once already bu topen hood put another battery to power points under hood or with jumper cables and open trunk.

Just use your key to manually open the boot. There is a key hole on the right side near the "XJ8" badge. It will release the trunk power or not (replaced a dead battery myself).
