loud clicking

loud clicking sound when car is in Park, and while driving, but not when in Park or in neutral. Loudest when in Park, not as loud when driving .Sounds like a part is flapping against another part either inside the transmission or under car.

correction, I meant to say clicking noise not heard when in reverse or neutral

Symptoms indicates the problem should be from within the transmission and you need professional advice.
