It hesitated at light then died and would not crank over (starter would not engage) simply clicked. I tried a jumper wire to the starter and got nothing but sparks. I tried a screwdriver across the starter terminals and again got nothing but some sparks. battery is new and was checked at wal mart and was good. I am patient and will go through checking procedure one thing at a time. I have not banged on the starter with a mallet yet but will do that by the time you answer this. I got a 0505 code at Oreilly's when it "was" running. I have cleaned the mass air flow sensor with mass airflow cleaner. I am ready to try any next step and will follow directions explicitly. this is not my main means of transportation and I want to fix it RIGHT. I am a backyard mechanic without any formal training. I refuse to let this frustrate me. Any diagnostic help you send will be methodically followed. Thank you "Quiz"
