Removal

When removing axle shaft, use shop towels to cover boots to prevent damage.
Remove dust cap from front brake rotor.
Remove snap ring from axle shaft.
Raise and support vehicle.
Remove wheel.
Remove transverse link nut and bolts.
At wheel side, tap axle shaft lightly with copper hammer. If axle shaft is difficult to remove, use puller.
At final drive side, remove slide joint housing-to-side flange mounting bolts.
Separate axle shaft from final drive side.

Reverse procedure for installation
