At first air conditioning would blow cold air at higher mph, but gradually stopped working all together.
Took car to repair shop. Said low on refrigerant. Recharged with die included. After two weeks air conditioning stopped blowing cold air. Returned to shop. Said the system was still fully charged. Need new compressor. However the electric power to the compressor is intermittent. They work three hours trying to find the problem with no success when power to the compressor resumed steady. I'm reluctant to have the compressor replaced without knowing why the power failure. Car is old and is cosmetically in poor condition. Any suggestions?
