Shuts off at stoplights?

My wife's Hyundai elantra has begun to die at stoplights. She has to keep the gas pedal depressed to keep the car running.

First clean the fuel filter, change the plugs and the wires. if that doesn't help clean the throttle body and see if the IAC module is working.
