hi,my heaters are constantly blowing hot air even when the heater setting is on cold. When the blower isnt on there is still warm air coming in. When the heater is set to hot it is very hot but when moved to cold its still very warm. ive been told possibly the heater control valve but i cant find it. Ive also noticed that the insulation padding around the pipes for the A/C is damaged and missing in parts,could this be a reason why?

Check the air-mix controls. We don't have any information for your vehicle but I believe it should be similar to the Civic.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL

1. From inside engine compartment, open clamp securing cable housing at heater valve. Disconnect heater valve cable from heater valve arm. Disconnect air mix control cable housing cable clamp under dash. Disconnect air mix control cable from air mix control arm.

2. Set temperature control lever to MAX COOL. With air mix control cable attached to air mix control arm, gently pull on outer cable housing to remove any slack in cable. DO NOT move temperature control lever. Hold air mix control arm against stop and snap hook of air mix control cable housing into cable clamp.

3. Turn heater valve arm, under hood, to the fully closed (clockwise) position. While holding heater valve arm in position, attach heater valve cable to heater valve arm, and remove any slack from heater valve cable housing. Install cable housing into cable clamp and tighten.
