1999 Honda Prelude ecu

I'm buying this prelude sh but needs a new ecu. Forthe time being the owner has a p13 ecu (from older prelude) that allows it to run and drive. Can I drive it home to the dealer so I can get the new ecu reprogrammed?

never ran into that kind of a thing I guess you can long as it 's not to far.

It is just making it run a little rich and idle off but its only a 40 mile drive, thank you for your advice.
