1999 Honda Accord engine ticking

Cold in Maine ,car ticks loud in morning and going up a small hill 25 miles an hour ticks weirder. When warmed up not as bad but still hear the engine ticking from the top of the engine not as bad up a hill or on the highway,radio on you won't hear hardly.Some somtimes I feel a slight hesitation while driving and sometime I hear pinging upon acceleration.
