My 99 Ford Taurus has had no problems prior to this one. I had the mechanic put some freon in, I filled the anti-freez, and I swapped out the old battery. The car starts much better than it did with no hesitation. It idles perfectly fine as well. But when I go to accelerate for the first time, at about 10mph the car kicked violently. I would describe it as if I ran over a curb. The bump made the Fuel light come on, the gauge stopped reading, and the windshield wipers turned on. The car will continue to run normally if I sit still. If I try to continue accelerating after the bump, it will happen multiple times until the car stops.. Restarting the car is no problem and all the gauges reset to the way they were. (Working properly) Until you try to accelerate again.
