This just started a couple of days ago. I was making a delivery and my ranger shifted just fine into reverse. When I went to shift into drive it acted like it jumped into neutral. Absolutely nothing.

I added a quart of fluid and still nothing happened. I came back about 4 hours later and tried again and it worked. Shifted a bit slow and clunky but still worked.

Then again last night it did the same thing. Shifted into reverse just fine but when mover into drive I get nothing.

Is this a linkage problem or maybe a sensor? Or do I need to replace the whole transmission?
