my explorer just died driving down the rd. it acts like theres no compression but, the explorer never dropped a drop of oil during the change and i always change it every 3 to 4 thousand miles. but back to the subject, thought at first it was the starter by the way it sounded, so i replaced it, same result as before.. motor turns over fast, got fuel pressure and fire to the plugs. so i'm thinking it something dealing the timing.. and theres no metal flakes or trash in the oil.

If both fuel and spark is present-check the valve and ignition timing, this will lead you to problems
with compression and valves opening and closing at the wrong time/broken or jumped timing
belt/chain.
