This van will run fine some of the time, but will act up other times.
I couldn't get it to start at first. I played with the distributor timing and got a little response out of it. After replacing the distributor out of another van, it started up and ran fine but the engine light came on and showed the code for the Crankshaft Position Sensor. I cleared the codes by removing the -battery terminal, and it fired right up with no problem and ran for a few days then died again and wouldn't start back up. I went out today (after it sat over the weekend) and it started right up showing no codes. I feel like I'm chasing my tail here.

It could be a failing crank position sensor.
