1999 Dodge Neon Rear strut Assembly

left and right are different Monroe makes a kit for the one side.

Ok I called autozone and advanced auto and they keep telling me that both quick struts for the rear are the same part number. Its the same when i look it up on rockauto.com. So i dont know what to do if they keep telling me that its right. We also needed to know if you need a tool to press the lower control arm bushings out and back in. trying to have a few years worth of damaged parts replaced all at once. is a pain in the butt

I imagine there is toold to press bushings ot but I always used a air chisel with something that would fit in the bushing to pressit in and out. Monroe lists the 181960 for struts in rear but they also list ak 28 to replace lower mounting hardware if necessary, sound to me like you need it. Also fcs on rock auto lists two different struts recheck you'll see it. although only one is listed . if you have a vise large enough you can put a sleeve around the one end of arm and put something that will slide through to press the bushing out at home.

It wasnt thee lower mount on the strut that wasnt lining up. We were hacing problems with the top. Only 2 of the 4 top mounts wpuld go in yhe holes.

well I don't know what to tell you call a dealer andsee if they list different ones. try moving in different positions as well. maybe the on eon the other side is in the wrong position.
