have to support and drop the tank down about few inches to be able to remove filter

is there a panel or something under carpet to get to it or do i need to drop fuel tank?

The fuel filter is located on the passenger side frame rail approximately halfway up the van there is an exhaust shield right in front of it so it is hard to see. Just follow the fuel lines from the tank and you will find it. It is connected with short pieces of rubber line and hose clamps so it is an easy one to change.
