I have a 99' Grand Caravan 3.3L front wheel drive. I replaced the auto tensioner and idler pulley due to some bearing squeal. After replacing them and the belt the alternator started to develop a bearing squeal. I replaced the alternator and on a 15 min drive it started to squeal again. Could the auto tensioner be over tightening? It seems much tighter then the one I replaced. any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

You sure you its the correct serpentine belt? It has an auto belt tensioner and shouldn't need adjustment

the belt has the correct number or grooves and matched the old belt in circumference. I know how unlikely it is, but the only explanations for the new alternator bearings squeaking is the new alternator has bad bearings or the auto tensioner is over tightening.

No, it can't be over tightening. There is another issue.
