I asked this question yesterday, but solution did not fix it.. Had a brake softening issue for a while. Drivers rear wheel cylinder was leaking so I replaced it. Now I cannot get this brake to bleed at all and have no brakes.

I was told yesterday that what I need to do is keep tension on the spring so I jacked it up under the rear axle. I still could not get it to bleed. I took the screw out and let it gravity bleed overnight. Hardly anything came out. Brake fluid is full and the other three wheels all have good pressure when i bleed them.

Someone please help? I need brakes! THanks in advance.

sounds like the brake hose to that wheel may have collapsed and is not allowing brake fluid through.

loosen the fitting in front of the hose to see if there is pressure there.

I disconnected in the back where the line goes into the hose. It is just dripping. SHould it be coming out quicker is a slooooow drip normal?

slow drip is ok. have someone push down the pedal to see if there is good pressure

push down on pedal and fluid comes out, but not strong. Like when you bleed the other wheels fluid comes shooting out, here fluid comes out with a small steady stream, but not much pressure.

the line may be clogged at some point. this is what happens when the fluid is not changed regularly like the engine oil.

you will have to back track to the front and open the line at the next point to see if the pressure is any better

Right up under the vehicle under the drivers seat there is a block where the lines come out of. Is that the proportioning valve? I dont think so, but maybe. Or is it something ABS related? Looks like the fluid line comes in there then goes out to the 4 wheels. When i just crack it open a little when someone pressing brake pedal From there there is no pressure coming out of that line, but there is others

ok, that is the proportioning valve. chances are that is your issue as there should be pressure in the other side as the others are ok.

think we found the problem

Nope.. well not what I thought it was... that is NOT the proportioning valve. This has the line from the master cylinder coming into it and then the 4 brake lines coming out of it. Not sure exactly what it is, but before the proportioning valve
