1999 Chrysler 300 No spark

I was driving this Chrysler 300m the other night and it just shut off like the ignition was turned off now it will not start it has no spark. And the strange thing is the small wire that go to the starter that is suppose to have 12v when the key is turned all the way to attempt to start the car do not have 12v. I had to jump starter from relay with the key turned to the on position to get the starter to crank the engine but it only cranks over it will not start
