my 1999 300m battery light continues to come on and all lights flickers. I had the alternator replaced and my battery is about a month old. the problem started after i hit a couple of huge puddles on a very rainy day.Help please?

The problem could be the computer control of the alternator field generation circuit-have it checked out-
