Where the heater hose inlet tube connects to the engine intake is a quick connector . Do I have to have a special tool to remove this metal tube from connector. What has to be done to disconnect tube?

I have the same question. My 1989 is leaking at this quick disconnect fitting. I fear it will break when I try to remove the hose. Are there any tricks, tips, or help that anyone can provide for this situation?
Thank you very much! Please assist!

I just replaced the head gaskets, but the motor overheats. I have checked the thermostat and the water pump.

I had the heads sent to a machine shop. They were milled down and had new valve seals installed. They were also checked (magnafluxed)for cracks. Any other ideas.
