Have been working on my 99 chevy Tahoe. I got it in a non running condition. Is running well now still working out the bugs. The issue I am having now is trying to trouble shoot the diagnostic codes it keeps giving me. Every time I start the truck I will get a 'CAM POSTIONING SENSOR MALFUNCTION BANK 2' . I have already replaced it twice. Once from with a junkyard replacement and the second time with a new one and I continue to get the code only when I start the truck. Once I erase it while it is running it won't come back until I shut off the truck and restart it. Along with the 'CAM SENSOR' I also get a 'CYLINDER 2 MISFIRE' code. I have replaced the cap, rotor, wires, and plugs.

OK, that is not a cam sensor code. That is a correlation code. It means the distributor is not set correctly. The ignition timing is not adjustable and moving the distributor synchronizes the cam sensor with the crank sensor. You need a professional scan tool to set this correctly. There will be a PID in there called "Cam offset" You need to turn the distributor until that reads under 3, preferably 0.
