So i my friend and i put money together to get this truck got it from the owner loved the way it drove and everything. The only problem was a loose shifter we were gonna replace. So his mom checks it out and slams it into drive and breaks the shifter. So they wanna replace the whole steering column. Im like why do that just replace the shifter and they say no. So we pull a column from the scrap yard and replace it at his house and it wont start. We thought it was the ignition so we take the original ignition and put it in there and it still wont start. So we put the old column back in put the ignition back in and just take the shifter off the scrap yards column. She still wont start. It tries to crank but we get nothing. This leads me to believe its the anti theft system. I could be wrong though so i would like to know what your opinion on this is? Please contact me asap i really need my truck back on the road and if i can fix it from home i know it'll be less costly. Thank you for your time
