Our power steering is not functioning. About a month ago, we replaced our power steering pump, and that fixed the problem for a couple of days. When we replaced the power steering pump, we flushed the system and a fair bit of dirt came out, and we stopped flushing it once clear fluid was coming out. Now we have a virtually new power steering pump with no power steering. We are thinking about replacing the gear box but we don't know if we should also replace the power steering pump again, as maybe there was something wrong with our old gear box that has caused our new power steering pump to fail. Also, our serpentine belt started squealing, which led to us replacing the power steering pump in the first place (along with the power steering failing). The day that we replaced the power steering pump, the belt's squealing had stopped. Now it squeals loudly again during normal idling, and makes a terrible noise when the wheels are turned. Please let us know what you think we should do! Thanks!
