Hello
I am trying to replace my battery on my 1999 Chevy Lumina.
As per the Hayes Repair Manual, I removed the crossbar and the windshield fluid tank. I disconnected the neg but can't get to the positive.
I have unscrewed all screws from the battery bracket but I can not get the bracket out or the battery out.
The battery bracket is being blocked by other parts. I am not a mechanic, but maybe an intake manifold? I don't know? The air filter box? I don't know. In any case I can't slide the battery bracket off, so I can't get to the positive to disconnect it which also means I can't get the battery out.
The Hayes manual basically said: remove crossbar, remove windshielf fluid resevoir and then un-do the screws from the battery bracket and lift out battery.
It does not cover that there are other parts in the way and I am getting super-frustrated. PLEASE HELP!!!!
Thank you!
