my transmission was recently (past month or so) replaced and is now under warrenty for parts and labor. about a week ago, my car "broke". that is it will go into drive, reverse, etc., however it wont move when you push the gas. i had it towed back to the place that put in the transmission, and they are working on it now. they said they think it is the torque converter. and are fixing it, but i wanted to know if the torque converter was considered part of the transmission or the engine since i now know it links the 2 together? i want to cover my bases by knowing what i feel i need to before i go back to get it, i'm not very familiar with the business/people there and i do not (being the younger female type) want to be "jerked" around.
