A/C compressor not working

So this is the first time I have tried putting refrigerant r-134a in this car. I got this car from my grandparents. The A/c blows hot, so I have put a can in and now the compressor comes on for a second and Kicks right back off again. It continually does this and it is not blowing cool air. Can you help me with an explanation on what it could be?

It sounds like you have too much refrigerant in the system. Here is a guide that will help you get the correct amount in the system the reason it is not getting cold is probably the temperature blend door actuator is not working. Here are three guides to help you get the problem fixed:

I had this problem and I had to replace the blend door actuator. All fixed!
