My car is a 99 european Vauxhall Vectra B, 2.2 liter engine.
Every now and then the engine fails not going above 2000 RPM, and when it hits around that RPM the engine sounds like it is not firing on all 4 cyls, or there is an ingnition problem. Not always will the check engine light go on, and when it does, it goes off and remains off. The problem appears and dissaperas randomly, but obviously the car cannot be driven safely. Different mechanics have said wildly different things. What could it be?
