How do I repair the theft prevention system?

The anti theft module just might need resetting.
Try this process:
Unlock the car using the key fob.
Then use the key on the door lock, to lock and unlock the vehicle.
Crank over the vehicle with the key.
Hold down the panic button the disable alarm.
Then push the unlock button.
Start the engine.

This should reset the system.

If the light still illuminated, then it is likely a bad anti theft module.
That module is located on the left hand side of the instrument panel, right of the steering column (see diagram).
